Description & Objectives
Social Reconciliation and Collective Leadership explores reconciliation as a practice of leadership, relationship-building and social transformation. Co-led with Laura Lladó and Gabriela Carrique, the project brings together coaching, collective intelligence, participatory leadership and facilitated dialogue to explore how individuals and groups can move beyond polarization, fragmentation and inherited patterns toward more conscious ways of relating and acting together.
The project starts from a simple premise: social transformation requires not only better structures, but also people capable of recognizing their own patterns, engaging difference and creating the conditions for collective action.
Vision. To contribute to a culture of reconciliation, collaborative leadership and collective intelligence, where differences can become a source of learning rather than division. The project seeks to develop leaders and communities capable of recognizing personal and collective patterns; engaging difficult conversations; integrating different perspectives; building trust and collaboration; and coordinating action around shared purpose. Its aspiration is to move from leadership understood primarily as individual influence toward leadership understood as a collective capacity.
Diagnosis / Context
Polarization does not exist only in political institutions. It also appears in organizations, communities, teams and relationships.
Behind visible disagreements there may be unexamined assumptions, emotional patterns, historical wounds, power dynamics and forms of "selective empathy" that make it difficult to recognize the humanity or legitimate perspective of the other. The project therefore explores reconciliation not as avoiding conflict or forcing consensus, but as the capacity to acknowledge difference, work with tension and create new possibilities for relationship and collective action.
Theory of Change
If individuals develop greater awareness of their own patterns, assumptions and "shadows", then they may become better able to recognize how these patterns influence their leadership and relationships. If groups create facilitated spaces for listening, dialogue and collective intelligence, then differences can become sources of learning rather than obstacles to collaboration. And if these capacities are connected with shared purpose and coordinated action, then leadership can become more participatory, relational and capable of contributing to social reconciliation.
Self-awareness → Dialogue → Reconciliation → Collective Intelligence → Leadership → Coordinated Action

Milestones & Evidence
The project builds on several years of collaboration between the School of Conscious Politics, Laura Lladó, Gabriela Carrique and the Asociación Mexicana de Coaching (AMCO).
A significant strand of this work has explored the relationship between coaching, spirituality and political leadership, including conversations on spiritual and political coaching, shadow work and political leadership, and reconciliation as a political agenda.
During the International Coaching Week / AMCO 2022, the School contributed to a session exploring "Shadow and Political Leadership", examining political polarization, rejection of the other, historical wounds and the ways individual leadership can respond to systemic dysfunction. The work developed an important movement from diagnosis → personal testimony → institutional response → collective action.
The project has also generated spaces and tools for team coaching, collective storytelling, participatory leadership, collaborative culture and collective intelligence, drawing on Gabriela's practice as a Creative Facilitator, Art of Hosting practitioner and organizational development specialist, and Laura's experience as an executive, life and team coach and leader within the Mexican coaching community.
The First International Day of Conscious Politics also created a visible map of initiatives and relationships connected to this field of work, documenting actions and collaborations emerging around conscious leadership and social transformation. Together, these experiences provide an emerging practice base for exploring reconciliation not only as an outcome, but as a leadership methodology.
2026–2027: From Individual Leadership to Collective Capacity. The current phase focuses on consolidating a shared methodology for social reconciliation and collective leadership. The programme will explore coaching distinctions for conscious leadership; shadow work and political leadership; facilitated conversations around difference and reconciliation; collective intelligence and participatory leadership; team and community practices; and the documentation of learning and emerging tools. The intention is to create spaces where participants can move from awareness to relationship, and from relationship to coordinated action.

6.2 Extended Team & Facilitation Ecosystem
Institutional collaboration. The project offers pathways for collaboration with organizations, leadership networks, coaching communities, companies, civic initiatives and institutions seeking to strengthen collaborative cultures and participatory leadership. Potential applications include leadership development, organizational culture, team engagement, conflict and reconciliation processes, collective intelligence and participatory transformation. The School's intention is to support institutions in moving beyond conventional leadership development toward cultures where people can participate, listen, reconcile differences and create together.
Contribution to Conscious Politics
Social Reconciliation and Collective Leadership contributes to the School of Conscious Politics by treating reconciliation as a leadership methodology, not merely as an outcome to be achieved.
The project proposes that polarization cannot be addressed only through institutional design: it also requires people capable of observing their own patterns, engaging difference without dehumanizing the other, and convening collective intelligence around shared purpose. In this sense, reconciliation becomes a civic capacity — a way of working with tension that makes coordinated action possible.
Its distinctive contribution is to connect inner work with collective capacity: from self-awareness to dialogue, from dialogue to reconciliation, from reconciliation to collective intelligence, and from collective intelligence to coordinated action. Leadership is thus redefined as the capacity to convene, host, listen and mobilize collective potential rather than to control it.
Social Reconciliation and Collective Leadership is currently moving from a series of coaching, dialogue and leadership practices toward a shared methodology for cultivating reconciliation and collective capacity — connecting inner work with the way groups, organizations and communities learn, relate and act together.
